On a cold Halloween night in 1943, the Darkenwells are told they must give their unborn child as blood sacrifice to the Lord of the Dead. In fear, the Darkenwells flee to America to save their child, but when the Lord of the Dead is robbed of his chosen blood sacrifice, only terror can follow.October 1956, thirteen years have passed and the Darkenwells have made a home in the small town of Millvale. The Darkenwells have come to realize that because they let their child, Raycord, live, a curse has fallen upon them that they can no longer escape - illness and plague, raising a farm of rotten crops that cannot be sold, and a child that constantly hides behind a devil mask and communes with spirits that cannot be seen.

October 30th, Devil's Night, the Lord of the Dead comes for Raycord Darkenwell at last, possessing the child and using his body as a vessel to unleash the ancient horror of Halloween on the town of Millvale. The town is being haunted and ravaged by animal sacrifices, homes being burned to the ground, and cemetery desecrations. Panic ensues throughout the entire town.
